Christmas day is celebrated on the 25th of December every year. This is a big celebration both of religious nature and non religious. It attracts huge commercial transactions worldwide and it’s also viewed by the majority as a festival where families and friends get together to share meals and exchange gifts.
Beforehand houses are decorated with beautiful and special ornaments, lights and a Christmas tree.
This date symbolises the anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ of Nazareth who is the Leader of Christian Faith.
Whereas, secular groups they await the arrival of Santa Claus who visits every single house and deposits gifts under the Christmas tree.
Children are encourage to take part in the magic leading to Christmas Day as families observe traditions both religious and pagan.
On Christmas eve, Christian families will attend church services usually starting late at night.
The 25th of December is a Bank Holiday in many countries around the world as a result.
In the Christmas Spirit, I wanted to share a poem inspired by this magnificent day:
Everywhere I go I hear Christmas Songs, Christmas Stories and miracles,
My heart is filled with joy as Christmas Day approaches,
Angels, in the invisible realm, are busy preparing the miracle,
The miracle the world received over two millennia ago,
Christmas Spirit is forgiving, giving and sharing,
Forgiving as we let go of bitterness and heart aches that burden our hearts.
We take our time to breathe in the fresh winter breeze.
Sometime it’s a cold breeze, other times a warm one, filled with the aroma of spices and sweets, tickles our noses.
Through each subconscious breath, we allow love to blossom. We give and share.
Friends and family share in this magnificent joy.
Lights and beautiful decorations adorn our houses,
Children’s laughter and joyful cheers feel the hearts of every home and
Its a magical feeling of grace, an empowering grace, an overflowing grace,
Grace upon grace,
From one soul to another,
The fullness of grace.
Healing, wholeness, abundance, joy and peace,
Simply is the Christmas Spirit.
The gift of life,
As a child is born,
The gift of God to humanity that brings forgiveness, life and hope.
Through our spreading of love and kindness,
We bring this gift to life in everyone and everything we touch!
Have a very Merry Christmas
